Steve E. Bird CPA Mr. Steve Bird Mr. Bird, a partner in the audit and tax department of Chester M. Kearney, began his career with the Firm in 1978. He became a partner in 1984. He received a B.S. degree with highest distinction from Colorado State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He served as the firm’s President from 1995 to 2010. Mr. Bird has also participated in the development of certain of the Firm's training programs and has served as an instructor in both internal and external training programs. He has testified in court as an expert witness. He is a member of the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Fort Fairfield Rotary Club. Mr. Bird resides with his wife, Debbie, on their Aroostook River farm in Fort Fairfield, where he enjoys horseback riding, snowshoeing, gardening and woodcutting. Steve, along with Brad Wolverton and his wife Hollie, climbed Mt. Katahdin and crossed Knife's Edge in the fall of 2010. Email Steve
