Herman Belanger CPA Herman Belanger, CPA President, Chairman of the Board/Director Herman (Herm) Belanger is the Chairman of the Board at Chester M. Kearney and has been practicing public accounting for over 35 years. He specializes in governmental and non-profit audit engagements including those subject to Governmental Auditing Standards and the Single Audit Act. He also services many other industries providing accounting, auditing, income tax planning, fraud examinations, compliance, and management services. He holds a Business Degree in Business Education and Accounting from Husson University and graduated Cum Laude. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Government Finance Officers’ Association and the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center. Herm continues to serve as a Peer Reviewer for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and as the shareholder in charge of quality control for Chester M. Kearney. He presently serves the New England Peer Review, Inc. as a Board Member, Executive Committee Member and as a member of the Report Acceptance Body. Herm has previously served on the following committees of the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants: Board of Governors, Quality Review Committee, Membership Committee and Government Relations & Legislative Affairs Committee. On the personal side, he lives with his wife in Washburn, Maine and he enjoys traveling and spending time with family, especially his grandkids.
